Service guide
Make accessibility part of the layout from the beginning.
An accessible restroom is most useful when the route to it is also considered. Think about approach width, surface, slope, nearby obstacles, and visibility. The goal is a placement that is practical to reach, not simply an item added at the end.
Build an approachable route
Review the route from parking, entrances, seating, or the work area. Keep it clear and consider how weather may change the surface.
Bring the important site details
When you call, explain who will use the restroom, where it may be placed, and what the approach looks like. A site-specific conversation is more useful than a generic checklist.
